The fine print, in plain words
Privacy policy
Last updated October 1, 2026 · Effective October 1, 2026
The short version
- We only collect what you give us in a form, plus basic visit counts.
- We never sell your personal information.
- You can unsubscribe, or ask us to delete your info, any time.
This policy explains what information Growth Lane Strategies collects when you visit growthlanestrategies.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME AND ENTITY TYPE, e.g. Growth Lane Strategies LLC]. "You" means anyone who visits the site.
1. What we collect
What you give us
We only get this when you choose to fill out a form or book a call:
- Newsletter signup: your first name and email address.
- Free tool requests: your name, work email, and company name.
- Work with me form: your name, contact details, and anything you write in the form about your business.
- Gap check call booking: your name, email, phone number if the form asks for it, the time you pick, and your answers to a few short questions.
- Emails you send us: whatever you choose to write.
What we collect on its own
When you visit, our analytics tools collect basic facts about the visit. This includes the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you here, your general location (city or country, not your street), your device and browser type, and which labeled buttons you click or videos you play. These tools use cookies, which we explain below. This information does not include your name or email.
2. How we use it
- To send you what you asked for, like a free tool or the weekly newsletter.
- To answer your questions and set up calls you book.
- To follow up about working together, if you asked about that.
- To see which pages and videos help people, and fix the ones that don't.
- To keep the site safe and working, and to follow the law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not "share" it for cross-site ad targeting, as that word is used in California law.
3. Cookies and analytics
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. It helps a site remember that you visited before.
- Google Analytics 4. We use it to count visits and see which pages, buttons, and videos people use. It only runs on our live site. It sets cookies in your browser. Google's policy explains how it handles this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Microsoft Clarity. We may use Clarity to see heat maps (where people click and scroll) and session replays (a playback of how a visit moved around the page). Clarity uses cookies. Clarity hides what you type into forms. Microsoft's policy is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels today. If we ever add them, we will update this policy first and show a cookie notice that lets you choose.
How to opt out
- Install Google's free opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers let you do this under "Privacy." The site still works without them.
- Many browsers also offer a private window or tracking protection that limits these tools.
4. Videos
Our videos play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video player does not load until you scroll to it. Once you press play, YouTube may collect information about that viewing under Google's privacy policy.
Some blog posts show an Instagram post using Instagram's own embed. When that post loads, Meta (Instagram's owner) may set cookies and collect information about your visit under Meta's privacy policy.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the site and the business. They may only use it to do that work for us.
| Company | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) | Runs our forms, call booking, contact list, and emails |
| Google (Analytics, YouTube) | Counts visits and plays our videos |
| Meta (Instagram) | Shows Sheri's Instagram posts inside some blog posts |
| Microsoft (Clarity), if we use it | Shows heat maps and session replays |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website |
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if the business is ever sold or merged. We do not sell it to anyone.
6. Our emails
If you join the newsletter, you get one email a week, on Tuesday. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are off the list. You can also email us and ask. If you booked a call or sent an inquiry, we may email you about that, too.
7. How long we keep it
- Contact and form details: as long as you are on our list or we are talking about working together. After you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days, except what we must keep for taxes, contracts, or the law.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps visit details for [2 or 14] months, then deletes them.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- See the personal information we have about you.
- Fix anything that is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop sending you marketing emails.
Depending on where you live, such as California, the European Union, or the United Kingdom, you may have more rights. These can include getting a copy of your data in a form you can move, limiting how we use it, objecting to how we use it, and complaining to your local data protection office. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To ask, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm it is really you. We will answer within 30 days.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we use your information because you agreed to it (like signing up for the newsletter), to do what you asked (like booking a call), or for our fair business interests (like understanding which pages help people). Our service providers may store data in the United States.
9. Kids
This site is for adults running businesses. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Keeping it safe
We use trusted service providers, secure connections (HTTPS), and limits on who can see your information. No website is perfectly safe, so we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If something does, we will follow the law about telling you.
11. Other sites
Our site links to other sites, like YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn. Their own privacy policies apply there, not this one.
FixMyEmail.ai is our free email tool. It is a separate site, and its data is covered by its own policy, not this one.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is big, we will post a note on the site or email the list.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
